Emma's surgery, 2nd time around!

Yesterday 1.27.10 Emma had another set of tubes put in. I pray that this set will help her from getting the monthly ear infection. Emma's last set of tubes did their job until they fell out in min December and since then we have had a total of 3 ear infections. Not a fun time at the Key house.
Surgery went very well, nice and smooth. She woke up from surgery no prob, actually happy. Later that day was a different story. After nap time she work up with a serious attitude.

Haiti Update

My Uncle Jim is back in Haiti helping all the Dr's, what a wonderful man he is. He posted on face book the following:

"sitting at new hope with 20 some kids huddled around me. You would never know outside these walls is death and destruction that you cannot imagine All is at peace in New Hope's front yard tonight. Good night world"

I pray that God keep my uncle and all other volunteers safe and out of harms way.

I also pray for the safety of all innocent Haiti people.

Good Bye Itchy.....

Last night 1.24.10 we came home from an exusting weekend in Blackwell to find that JD's dog of 14 years (98 dog years) had past awayed. It was a sad time at the Key house. Itchy was JD's dads dog when he was alive so it was actually hard on the whole family, including Tonya and Tanner.

Jackson I think took it the hardest, he just doesnt understand why people and now dogs have to go to Heaven. I have told him that Heaven is a wonderful place and that Itchy is very happy there but for a 4 year old its still hard to understand. I pray that god gives Jackson and JD the strength to move forward.

Happy Birthday Emma!

Emma had a wonderful 2nd birthday! The day started out with Mickey Mouse pancakes a birthday tradition, then was nail time with Tonya, Emma loves to have pretty nails.

We had presents, cupcakes, and play time oh yeah and we threw a nap in there too that day.

Overall it was a great day!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year.....OK so we are almost a month into 2010, sorry I am just now getting around to uploading pictures. The year 2009 was an OK year, alot happened to much to mention. I am looking forward to a great 2010.

This year will be different, I have goals and expectations to make 2010 a great year! Follow along to see how 2010 all plays out!

#14 of my 2010 goals, completed!

OK....... so over the past few months I have had an overwhelming feeling that I need to write a friend a letter. This friend and I were great friends in Middle School, (wow that seems so long ago). Once in high school we both kinda went our separate ways, unfortunately she went down the wrong path and got mixed up with the wrong people. She now is spending time in prison until 2021 in McLoud OK.

I know that I could have done something in the past but chose not to, now I have decided that she needs me. I hope that my letter to her shows her that even in prison that people care and that she can change her life around and start living for Christ. I hope all goes well and she is willing to become a pen pal.

Please pray for a miracle, everyone needs to know Christ.

This will be the year!

I have decided that 2010 will be the year for planning ahead and organizing! I love when things run smoothly and what better way to make that happen. I plan on shopping early for Birthdays, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and all other holidays. By shopping early I have less stress about getting everything together and the cost. I was to be more organized as well. Last night I went thought the house and took pictures of all areas that need some serious attention and I am just itching to get started. I will also complete my list of 15 - 2010 goals! Wish me luck!

Happy Birthday Emma!

I would like to say that Emma had a wonderful Birthday, she is only two and only has one other birthday to compare it to, and I doubt that she remembers her first birthday. The day started out great at 6:30am as usual. We had mickey mouse pancakes, a birthday tradition. Following breakfast was nap time, lunch and then her party started at 4. Emma got new shoes and clothes, two of her favorite things in life. The party went pretty smooth for the most part no major hick ups or break downs from her. She did however not want to blow out her candle, or eat a cupcake once I took off her new white hello kitty shirt. Wearing the new shirt was more important than eating the cupcake so she got down from the table, got her shirt back on and off she went to play. That evening I was thinking, wow that went well the party is over minus a few people still being there visiting with us, and then it happened. I went to the back room to get something to see Emma start to cry, I ran in her room to see what was the matter and she was chocking, I picked her up and began to tap on her back to get whatever it was up, after about a long 20 seconds she swallowed.........a glass marble. Yes Emma Key swallowed a glass marble that the boys had gotten out of a flower arrangement. I spent 30 minuets on the phone with the nurse line to find out that she will be fine, considering it was small and smooth, we just have to wait for her to pass it. What a great way to start your second year of life. Kids gotta love'em!

Haiti

My uncle from Joplin Mo. recently housed an orphan from Haiti, his name was Jameson. Jameson was in need of tubes and other help with his ears. Jameson stayed with my uncle from July-Decemeber. Christmas 2009 Jameson went back to the orphanage in Haiti, not because my uncle didnt want to keep him, his visa was up and had to go back. Today is Jamesone 7th birthday and to top it off the orphange that he lives in was hit very badly by the earthquake. Jameson and all the other children are fine but what they call home is lost, all of the supplies and food.....gone. I ask that you pray for all the people in Haiti. My heart goes out to my little 7 year old angel that has to spend his birthday in rubble.

Weekend Overview

So this past weekend has been quite the weekend. I left work at 3pm on Friday to help JD work on the pipes to our house. We had no water when we left on Friday morning. As of This morning still no water in the kitchen? Why??? we cant figure that part out yet, we have water in the rest of the house minus the kitchen. OK off the fact that we don't have water, we got a cat. Yes I said it I have given in once again and have an animal. If you don't know me very well I am not the best pet person, I think it is because I don't like to take the time to become a pet person. Lucy is her name she is a very cute long hair calico, and she is beautiful. The kids love her and she does very well with them. Lucy is only about 4 weeks old, not really old enough to be away from her mother but she was found int he snow at Doris and Pete so we have saved her. Well its Monday and I am at work I guess I better start this week off right and do something. Have a great day!!!

Hello Kitty

I am so excited for Emma's party next weekend. Emma is in love with Hello Kitty! I have to go this weekend to get some decorations, and items to make tissue paper balls (lets see how well these turn out, it looks simple on the internet but I'm not sold yet!) I cant wait! Emma is going to be so happy to have a Hello Kitty party. Pictures will be coming soon.

Workout progress

So on Tues morning at 5am I went to the gym with Tonya. We are taking a Tuesday morning boot camp class, and lets just say.....it has already kicked my butt! My legs are so sore it hurts to walk, sit, stand, do about anything. I aim to stick with it for one because I don't want to quit, 2 once this summer comes and I am skinnier I will be happy with my self and 3 because it is a 2010 goal to work out more than at the first of the year and with this only being the 1st full week on '10 I would say its still the first of the year. I will keep you posted on the progress,(whom ever you are reading if anyone is reading) and if the results are good I will show a before and after picture, but don't hold your breath. I guess the saying is true, "No pain No gain" I am in pain so lets see what the gain is. (and I hope its not weight LOL)

Welcome 2010

WOW, is it really 2010 already? I remember when I thought the year 2000 would never come and here we are 10 years later. I think back on the things that have happened in the past year and here are a few that really stand out.

1. I became a partner to COTM!
2. Emma had tubes put in her ears
3. Tonya and Brandon got married
4. Hudson finally had a baby!
5. Finally completed Emmas zebra bedroom, thanks to a wonderful friend (thank you again Beth!)
6. My Grandma Imogene turned 80
7. My Grandpa Hamilton passed away.
8. Nikki Campbell passed away.
9. My mom has made it 3 years since her accident!
